The Indian population has risen up to 1.21billion according to the report given by the Indian census department on Thursday, March 31, 2011 based on the census data of 2011. The 2011 report is the 15th census conducted since 1872.
Of the 1.21 billion people in India there are 623.7 million males and 586.5 million females. Over the last ten years the Indian population has increased by 181 million. [Read more...]

Mumbai - March 25th was a special occasion for Dawoodi Bohra community as they celebrated their 52nd spiritual leader Dr.Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin’s 100th birthday. But the celebrations didn’t just ended on March 25, 2011, but it continued till March 27, 2011,Sunday.
As Mumbai is the center of Dawoodi bohra community and Sydena has a permanent residence in Mumbai’s Saifee Mahal, lakhs of bohras from all over the world came Mumbai to attend the procession. The birthday was celebrated at Saifee Masjid at bhendi bazaar.
