Hopping on the weak back of the Congress whose ascendancy seems to be dwindling, local supporters and workers of the Bhartiya Janta Party offered self-arrest to demonstrate their angst against the sheer failure of the ruling party in controlling the situation of inflation in the country.
200 BJP workers presented themselves for self-arrest in front of the District Collector’s office today at 11am. Many among them are senior leaders heading several divisions of the district.
The protestor’s major concern was the growing demand of electricity supply and at the same time the hike in the price of electricity to 80 paisa per unit.
BJP leaders including Dinesh Bhatt, Rajni Dangi, Chanchal Agrawal, Chandra Singh Kothari, Chunnilal Garasia, Lokesh Trivedi, Jinendra Shastri, etc. offered support to the drive.
