Surajpol Police has succeeded in taking two more, alleged car thieves in custody who are believed to be closely linked to the arrest made on 12th August 2012, when 7 stolen cars were recovered and three people were arrested.
Following the case, two people, Mohammad Gizali and Farhat Baigh were arrested from Mukherjee Chowk on Thursday, 20 Aug. Both were sent to judicial custody today.
In the initial interrogation, Farhat and Gizali confessed of stealing original car keys from several places. One more suspect, identified as Ashu, is still on the run. Till now, 5 people are arrested for stealing and later selling cars.
According to police, a tip off had been received that, Gizali and Farhat are coming to Mukherjee Chowk area to meet their associate Ashu.
Police team led by Abhay Nath, fielded the ground and caught two of them, however Ashu managed to escape.
