The erstwhile theatre, Swapnlok bore a festive look after more than a decade, as the Dawoodi Bohra community (Bohra Youth) celebrated their 18th Mass Wedding (Samooh Nikah), which saw 12 Couples getting tied in wedlock. A large number of community members participated in the function and blessed the newlyweds.
Prior to today’s Nikah Ceremony, the other mandatory customs and rituals, viz. Sagai and Mehendi were executed during the last three days. A large number of people attended the Baraat procession, which followed the Nikah ceremony at Swapnlok. The grooms on bedecked horses were looking magnificent in the Baraat led by a musical Band.
The Baraat Procession passed through Hathipol, Ashiwini Bazar, Bastiram Ji Ki Badi and concluded at Rasoolpura Masjid where all Grooms and Baraatis were welcomed.
A community feast is being organized at Field Club tonight, which will culminate the 18th Samooh Nikah.
